Hugh Simpson (Contractors) Ltd arranged the shipment and unloading of 932 raw black steel pipes (12.2 m long with 406.4 and 273.1 mm outer diameter) from a marine vessel Wilson Wisla, which arrived in Wick Harbour on 22/07/2019.
Two cranes were set up, fitted with vacuum lift units to unload pipes on to the quay or directly onto the lorry for transportation to customer site.
On the quay we use Dhatec pipe storage system. This system can be easily adjusted to different pipe diameters and is completely safe to store pipes until further transportation to their final location.
